"Ugh..." You groaned. Your eyelids fluttered open very slowly and you hissed. The morning light was very bright.

Wait.

 'Morning...light?' You thought, confused. You squinted for awhile trying to get used to the brightness of the room. Hospital room. You glanced around, seeing no one else was here. The room was a vibrant yellow and gold, rugs a bright violet color, curtains with a shade if green you never knew that could be created.

 It was a very nice room, indeed. The famous hospital smell reeked in the room. You crinkled your nose at the strong smells.

"Hm. I hope the mission- Where's Malik and Kadar?!" You panicked. You slowly swung your legs over and stood up, fully understanding not to get up too fast. You unsteadily walked out of your room quickly, asking other doctors and assassins where Malik and Kadar was. No one knew. A series of loud footsteps caught your attention. Abbas.

"(Y/n)! These...these...are from...phew. Altaïr." He huffed, holding a small bouquet of flowers. He was clearly out of shape; not fat, but obviously tired.

You furrowed your eyebrows. There was a small card.

'Get well soon, love.' You grinned a bit, before frowning.

"Thank you. By the way, have you seen Malik or Kadar? Or maybe know what room they are in?" You asked, setting the flowers to your side. The scent of the flowers was serene and peaceful. The colors reminded of of the first bouquet of flowers he gave you.

Abbas's usual scowl turned into a sympathetic frown. His frown told you what you didn't want to hear. You frowned and panicked.

"Ah! I have to find them! Bye!" You screamed, running away. Abbas stood there, muttering about you. You ran so fast, you became dizzy. The feeling is so natural to you. Feeling the wind fly past, air whizzing by. Now wasn't the time however.

You passed a doctor and you stopped. You ran up to him.

"Have...have you seem Malik and Kadar?" You asked, slightly out of breath. The doctor nodded and pointed at two adjacent doors.

"The one on the right is Kadar. Left is your friend Malik." The doctor said, briskly walking away. You gulped and slowly walked over to Kadar's door first. You opened the door and peeked your bandaged head inside. There he was.

Kadar was lying peacefully on his back, no scratches, just a black eye. Except the blue bruise on his head. That was just his face. You didn't dare think of the injuries he had on the rest of his body. You walked over to him, smile building.

"Kadar! You're okay!" You whispered, grinning. You wanted to do your greeting that you both created when you were both just children: Poke his side.

You grinned and poked his side, expecting him to jump up and give you a bear hug. He did not.

Not moving.

Not twitching.

Or even fidgeting. You stared at his face, noticing how pale he looked, compared to his usual tan skin. You smiled uneasily.

"C'mon Kadar..." You said poking him harder. Nothing.

"Kadar."

"Kadar...? Wake up!"

"Kadar! Wake your novice arse up!" You screamed. You grabbed his arm and pulled it. Just like a child pulling their parent around the market. He still didn't move.

"Kadar...? Are you...dead?" You asked yourself. You checked his pulse, only to find a faint pulse.

"He isn't dead. He is in a coma." The doctor said, closing the door and startling you.

"Oh." You whispered. You glanced at his sleeping figure. Coma figure.

"At hit on his head knocked him out. I'm not sure when he'll wake up. If, actually." He sighed. You said nothing.

It reminded you of your childhood. Playing with him everyday until sunset and again the next day, doing it for years.

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
"You have to throw it far!" Kadar laughed. You threw it, landing a few feet from his feet. You sighed.
"That's not fair! We're like, twenty feet away from each other!" You pouted, crossing your arms. He snickered.
"We're like, 8, (y/n)!" He laughed, walking over to you with the ball. You sighed.
"Yeah. I know. When is Malik coming home?" You asked excitedly. Malik always came home with treats for you. Either if it was candy or a small toy, Malik loved seeing both of your happy expressions when he bought you both something.
"Not yet. Let's sit and talk!" He suggested, patting the ground next to him. You smiled and nodded.
You talked and talked for awhile, waiting for Malik. A question took your interest.
"Do you want to be my partner?" He asked, staring at the blue sky. You looked at him.
"What do you mean?" You asked, yawning. He snickered.
"Like, we'll protect each other 'till we die. Risking each other's lives to save each other." He explained.
"Whoa. Since when were you so deep?" You laughed. He punched your arm.
"You know what I'm saying." He huffed.
"I know. Well yes. I'll protect you." You smiled, pointing at a weird cloud. He laughed at the weird formation.
"Yeah. Well, I'll protect you too."
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

That was years ago. You both kept your promise.

"You have to go. I have to make sure he's in a stable condition." The doctor said with a calm voice. "You can visit Malik." He said.

You nodded numbly. You shakily stood up and walked out, whimpering. The doctor said even he didn't know if Kadar will wake up. You could only hope.

You walked across the hallway, opening Malik's door. You walked right in, not caring about the weird glances.

You walked right up to Malik's bed, seeing him under a lot of covers. Sweat covered most of his forehead. You pitied him, sleeping, but not able to take off the covers.

You grasped the end of the covers, pulling them off. You gasped.

Malik...had...only one arm.

You whimpered and stared at the place where his arm belonged. Where did they put his old arm? Why did they take it off?!

You wanted to cry, but you knew you had to stay strong. You walked over to his left side, wanting to get a closer look. The bandaged stub was bloody. You sniffled loudly. You kneeled down, hugging his waist, stirring him awake.

He smacked his lips and licked them, moisturizingW them. His eyes fluttered open and you could only stare at the brown orbs.

"My lord. My arm hurts!" He grunted. He noticed you staring at him and hugging his waist.

"Um. What are you doing...?" He asked. You shook your head and stared at him again. He sighed. You loved up hugging him properly. He smiled and hugged back...

Only to find his has one arm.

"What the...?" He screamed. He shoved you off with his right arm, and grasped his shoulder and screamed.

"Bloody hell!? What happened?! I wasn't that injuried!" He screamed. You watched him scream and yell, hot, angry tears cascading down his cheeks and onto the covers. His bare top half of his body was sweat.

You gulped, wanting to leave the raging man. He screamed as doctors came in, pushing him down. They successfully calmed him down. He was lying in is back, staring at the ceiling with a cold, unforgiving glare. Tear stains cover his face. He was breathing heavily.

You stayed on the ground, watching him for what seemed like hours.

"Where...where is Kadar?" He whispered, holding his pillow tightly. The bandage was ripped, but you couldn't do anything about it. The doctor kept all the supplies.

You bit your lip, holding in a whimper. You didn't answer and he asked again.

"Where is he?" He asked, louder this time, but still hoarse. You shook your head.

"He's in a coma." You said simply, standing up and walking out of the room. He shot up.

"What?!" He started to stand up, only for you to call over the doctor and press a herb on Malik's nose. He inhaled it and calmed down. He didn't say anything, but you could clearly see the sadness, anger, and loneliness in his eyes.

You pitied him. "Sir, can I stay in Malik's room for tonight? He seems lonely." You sighed. The doctor hesitantly nodded. You went to your room and grabbed what you needed. Which wasn't much. Just a pillow and a blanket.

You walked cautiously into his room, only to find him throwing things around, hot tears again fall down. You snuck in, settling down in the corner, and made a small, comfortable nest. You lied down, watching him destroy things. Eventually, he got tired and went to bed.

Before he officially passed out, you could hear sniffles and murmurs.

"Kadar...please..."

You knew from that moment on, Malik cared for his arm, but loved his brother more. And he showed it.
I really have nothing to say except:
1) Thank you. I really mean it.
2) Today is the Ezio Challenge (HEHE) Quite fun.
3) Sorry for the mistakes.
4) and well...I miss Kadar already. He was the life of the party.
